Mongolia Airport

A logo for “Mongolia Airport” and a website showing the creation process of the logo. After a research and study of the Mongolian culture, I have discovered that the Mongolian nomads use special tents called “Ger” as their homes. The main structure of the “Ger” is a net of planks interlaced one on top of the other that can be easily folded - thus allowing the nomads to travel fast. I chose this tent as an inspiration for the airport logo because of its connection to the idea of traveling fast from one place to another. I stylized the logo like the “tails” of white smoke that airplanes leave behind them in the sky and used the logo lines to create a functional tool which shows the flights status on the globe in current time.
