In this project I examined the way we associate verbal definitions with visuals. The format that I used was borrowed from scientific dictionaries. Like the dictionary, I categorized the terms to male/female, singular/plural. The subject of my “research” was forms in Israeli society such as man, woman, single, religious, jewish, orthodox and more. The images and patterns are a combination of photography and photoshop editing of daily objects, in a way that almost erase their identity. The pairing of the definition with the image was made randomly with no meaning. The result examined how people create context out of prejudice and stereotype only.
