Nimrod 2014
This Artist book follows the famous statue “Nimrod”, made by the Israeli artist Izhak Danziger in 1939. At the time of its creation, the statue reflected the general character of the new “Israeli man” with many influences from ancient cultures of the Middle East area such as the Egyptians, Babylonians, Sumerians and the Canaanites. In this book I have decided to create an updated representations of the male character and figure by collecting and arranging series of men photography and texts dealing with the question of who is the “Israeli man” of our time, disregarding religion and ethnicity.
